Lost for words ...

He he he ... it's been such a long while since my last post and honestly suddenly I don't know what to write... blogger's block? hmm ...

Back tracking to my last reason for not updating my blog.

A family trip!
I booked a trip to Kuching for the Thaipusam holidays since last year. The day finally arrived and we went to the airport ... Naqib loved the airport. He ran here and there, same goes for Mimi, who was busy running away from Naqib. I gave up screaming at them to behave and just prayed that nobody would bang their trolleys into these 2 unruly kids.

Finally, I managed to distract Mimi and Naqib to go and watch the aeroplanes land. Naqib especially was excited to see the planes landed. Mimi watched for a while and went off looking for her daddy to entertain her. Naqib went ooh and ahh and started screaming plane every time he saw one.

When it was time to board, I asked Naqib, "Do you want to sit on a plane?"
"Nooooo!" Why, that was unexpected, I would have thought he'd be excited since he loved watching the planes but I guess seeing those planes landed must have scared him. I had to carry him as he clung to me all the way up to the plane. He didn't relax his hold on me until it was half through the flight to Kuching he fell asleep. Huh, Naqib the fearless, was actually a scaredy-cat!

I spent most of the time at the waterfront, the kids had a good time running up and down, we crossed the river in a boat, climbed up to Fort Margueritta, which was under maintenance work, so we saw the outer parts of the fortress and climbed down again ... well, not much to see but we enjoyed the walk and the boat trip. Mimi said her favorite part of the trip was the boat ride, to her, it was her first time. But in reality, she had ridden a boat previously. She went to Kuching twice when she was just a year old. She knows she was there before but she said it was because I told her and not so much that she'd remembered it herself.

We window-shopped at the handicraft shops, my MIL loved those shops :) Mimi enjoyed shopping too so she followed her Tuk most of the time, but not Naqib! A typical male species :( He kept dragging me to go faster, I gave up shopping and went for walks with hubby and Naqib!

All in all, a relaxing trip and the best part was all of us were together :)
